I am learning to sound out 3 letter words.

I am learning to say the first, middle and last sound in a word and then blend the sounds together to write the word.  This can help me in my reading and my writing.

I am learning to make the beginning and end sounds in unknown words.  I need to get my mouth ready to make the sound and this activity helps me remember.

Thomas, you are able to recognise patterns to 5 using concrete materials.  We are now going to work on instantly recalling these patterns to 5.
